Rangi wanted his marriage proposal to honour his heritage and include elements of tikanga. He arrived at the proposal site, holding his rākau, ready for his partner's arrival. Sneaking away without being seen was difficult but added to the special moment. He guided her into the proposal space with a short wero and then asked for her hand in marriage. To show his respect, he performed a haka. With some time left, they captured the day with a photoshoot, showcasing who they are and their love. This memorable day was made more special by the stunning Waiheke Island backdrop.
